new cooling/heating thermostats |

Hi,
I understand that a new controller for the cooling/heating system was being tested in one or more apartments (by Atmosphere?).
Is there any news on how these tests have gone, and whether the new controller is available to be bought/installed by the rest of us?
If not, has anyone else tried replacing the Honeywell thermostat/controllers with something more programmable?
I would prefer to have the heating and cooling functions separate and exclusive (so if you set to cool, then the heater part is completely switched off). I often find the existing system cycling between cooling and heating by itself as it heats up and cools down the room - a huge waste of energy! Also being able to program different temperatures for different times of day and night would be handy.
Thanks for any comments.
Regards, Ben |
