Things Residents might find helpful to know
|
 |
|
The Communication Committee continues to be busy. We meet informally every quarter to plan events. If you would like to join us we will be delighted to welcome you. Just ask at reception for a contact number.
The Web Site has a new manager, Scott Taggart and you should see some changes very soon. Wewillto continue to let you know about things that are happening around the area and keep it up to date with locla news. Scott wil need information, photographs and articles from you.
We are currently arranging the annual Summer BBQ and you are welcome to come along and enjoy yourself. Details will be on the web site and Receptions
The home page has news on different activities in and around West End Quay and the Paddington area. Do let us know about events and also use the message board.
Details of Committee meetings and the AGM will be on the Web, and minutes of previous meetings will be in the archive section.
Sunny Uppal the Manager of West End Quay will contibute regular updates on progress with the Merchant Square Development.
There is a WEQ Hand book for owners being updated by the Communication Committee and you will be able to download.this shortly. Tthere is also useful information about your apartment, including details of the companies and trades people who installed your equipment. (useful if your heating breaks down or you need repairs done)
We have also compiled a list of reliable workmen and companies (ones that individual residents have used and feel they can recommend). We advise that you check them out for yourself and please let us know if you have found someone you think should go on the list.
In addition we are delighted that local businesses are keen for us to use their services and have begun to offer discounts to West End Quay residents. These include hair and beauty treatments at Contrasti and dry cleaning and laundry services.
We appreciate all your feedback and contributions.

News from Paddington BID
|
 |
|
The re-surfacing of Praed Street is underway, with the first stretch between Junction Place and Bouverie Place already transformed.
The scheme, jointly funded by Paddington BID and Westminster City Council, has already treated private forecourts, which include grease and chewing gum repellant. Below the paving is a waterproof membrane, preventing water from leaking into basements below. The membrane is flexible, so does not crack or break. more...

Security and noise problems
|
 |
|
What to Do There have been several incidents recently where residents have been disturbed by noise late at night.
We need to ensure that these incidents are stopped so here is advice on what you can do:
1. Ring your Block concierge, report it to them and ask them to deal with it 2. Ask the concierge to write it in the book for Sunny Uppal to see 3.
If it is a disturbance involving a group then call Paddington Community
police. Their number is 0797 0157 281 and Daniel Carr or Sergeant
Oakes will help 4. If their number is on an ansaphone the Community police advise that you dial 999

Many of the apartments have plants and small trees. We'd like to encourage people to make their balconeis and terraces attractive, so we've asked Demita our in-house garden company for some ideas. They can supply window boxes for your terrace or Juliette balcony. For more details please contact: Richard Thomas 077100 69023.
